I started at Manntech NA in 2013. When Alimak Group acquired Manntech and Cox Gomyl in 2017, I moved from New Jersey to Texas to help with the merger transition for the companies, technicians, and systems.
I am currently a Service Support Manager. I have four service coordinators reporting to me (two from Alimak Group and two from Tractel). I am also the Sales Manager for the southeastern United States.
I’ve always enjoyed getting to know my clients, through emails, but especially by phone. The fantastic part of my sales job (which I started last September) is being able to go out and visit clients. It’s been wonderful to finally meet in person people with whom I’d only had a virtual relationship for years. I find that talking to clients (in person or by phone) is much more personal than emails. Thanks to this personal touch, clients feel that Alimak Group cares about them and their needs.
I was a service coordinator for many years. With Tractel joining the Alimak Group family, my responsibilities increased. I was promoted to Service Support Manager and hired Alimak Group’s two service coordinators, in addition to working with Tractel’s two coordinators to manage customer needs, service scheduling, billing, and so on. It’s ongoing work as we fully integrate Tractel’s customers into Alimak Group’s Salesforce system.
In 2019, a new Manntech BMU was installed in Houston, Texas, at the AIG building. It was the first time I had been on-site to witness a BMU installation. It was even more exciting because the lift was done by helicopter. I was able to see all the work involved in determining which parts could be lifted and the sequence required for their installation. I watched our technicians work tirelessly in the summer heat to assemble the BMU. It was a truly incredible experience, one that not everyone in our industry has the opportunity to be a part of.
