Manntech 的 AMS 荣获 2025 年 Latour 可持续发展奖

Alimak Group has been awarded the 2025 Latour Sustainability Award for its Manntech Articulated Mechatronics System (AMS), recognizing its achievements in innovation and sustainability. This award recognizes the company’s next-generation Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) that provides safer, faster, and more sustainable curtain wall access solutions for the world’s most complex buildings.

The Latour Sustainability Award, established in 2024, recognizes measurable sustainability achievements across Investment AB’s Latour portfolio. Alimak Group was selected for Manntech’s AMS system, which achieves:

  • CO₂ emissions reduced by 30%
  • Material usage reduced by 20%
  • Assembly time reduced by 40%

Smarter ways to access the world’s most complex buildings

AMS is an articulated electromechanical BMU designed for safer and more sustainable building maintenance. Traditional BMUs typically rely on heavy structures and rigid movement methods, leading to increased material usage and higher CO₂ emissions. AMS provides a smarter solution through its compact articulated robotic arm, enabling precise movement along the curtain wall. Its electromechanical design combines mechanical components with an intelligent control system for smoother operation, higher reliability, and enhanced safety.

Thanks to its modular and more efficient design, the installation process is faster and simpler, reducing the number of components that need to be hoisted into place. This innovation reduces assembly time by 40%, lowers building load, and extends equipment lifespan. Operators can also work at heights with greater safety and confidence through precise control, thereby improving efficiency and sustainability.

Richard Horkavy, Vice President of Research and Development, stated:

“Receiving the Latour Sustainability Award is a significant honor for Facade Access Solutions and a powerful recognition of our innovative approach. Through AMS, we have demonstrated that it is feasible to rethink curtain wall access systems with sustainability at the core – improving safety and performance while reducing CO₂ emissions, material usage, and installation time. We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing smart, sustainable solutions that shape the future of the industry and support the Alimak Group’s long-term environmental goals.”

This award further reinforces Manntech’s key role in Facade Access Solutions as a driver of sustainable progress in the industry. It also reflects the strong partnership between Latour and Alimak Group, and their shared commitment to long-term sustainable growth.
