IFMS (Ile de France Maintenance et Service) is a subsidiary of Alimak Group in charge of the maintenance of facade maintenance equipment in France. With three offices in Paris, Lyon and Lille, and 45 employees, IFMS is a leader in its field and recognised for the quality of its services and customer relations. Its dynamic growth in recent years will be confirmed in the years to come thanks to the development of a refurbishment and/or replacement activity for its customers’ equipment.

As part of this growth, IFMS is strengthening its sales team based in Vaires-sur-Marne (77).

About the Position

• Manage the auditing and adequacy activity on customer sites.
• Understand the organisation and processes of customers.
• Present audit and adequacy reports to customers.
• Imagine the solutions to be provided, carry out the studies and consult the necessary partners in order to remove all the reservations of the reports.
• Present our solutions to customers in order to obtain their buy-in and order.
• Monitor the smooth running of the projects and accept them with the customer.
• Be responsible for the margin achieved on your projects.
• Monitor business performance indicators.
• Work jointly with contract managers, business managers and the sales director to ensure customer satisfaction.

Your Profile

• Minimum five years of experience.
• Very good level of communication.
• Very good interpersonal skills and mastery of customer relations.
• Persuasive and convincing.
• Demonstrate rigour and have strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• A trustworthy person with a strong sense of ethics.
• Enjoys teamwork.
• Comfortable with CRM-type reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Technical profile, ideally with a minimum Bac+2 qualification in a technical field.
• Experience in a machine design office would be a plus.
• Commercial profile, ideally through experience in the sale of technical solutions.
• Experience in project management would be appreciated.
• Experience in workstation analysis or a safety environment would be a plus.
• Proficiency in office tools.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

Job Purpose

• Acting as a technical expert and advisor, you will support our sales and service activities.
• Based on your strong technical knowledge, you will support the service team by auditing equipment and developing solutions that you will design, have manufactured and install.
• You will also help secure our operations by analysing standards and manufacturers’ requirements, creating internal guidance and training the teams.

Profile and Attributes

• Knowledgeable in mechanics, systems and hydraulics; electrical knowledge is also welcome.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks design software.
• A team player who can work with other disciplines to develop the best solution.
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Project management skills.
• A solutions-oriented problem solver.

Key Tasks

• Provide technical support to the service team.
• Calculate and design non-standard parts.
• Perform audits on machines.
• Follow projects with the factories.
• Analyse manufacturers’ manuals and provide maintenance guidance.
• Analyse relevant standards and provide guidance.

Competencies and Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in machine or systems design.
• Proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
